This position is responsible for maintaining the Bank's fund position with the Federal Reserve Bank and all correspondent banking relationships. Involves monitoring fed fund and mutual funds daily rates, and being able to make sound investment judgments. Work closely with both the investment team and the wire transfer team. Be able to work independently and able to meet daily time restricted deadlines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage daily funds position.

Determine target balances needed to maintain appropriate balance for Federal Reserve account and invest or purchase funds overnight to meet those targets.

Balance and post general ledger tickets for both incoming and outgoing cash letters.

Utilize specialized wire transfer software for input of wires and pulling reports from system for balancing.

Invest, redeem or purchase funds daily.

Determine how, where, and when to purchase/sell funds to maximize return/minimize costs.

Operate personal computer and utilize computer software applications on a daily basis including wire transfer system, on-line accounts, and especially spreadsheets. Balance pledge accounts monthly.

Monitor investment safekeeping agency to insure funds are received and accurate and that it is what was expected.

Purchase or sell investments as directed by the investment department.

Confirm purchase or sale with investment agency, make sure trade happens as was expected if not work with the investment agency to correct.

Appropriately document and file all investments.

Process investment payments as they are received, confirm for accurate amounts, if not work with agency to find discrepancies.

Manage daily account balances with Federal Reserve Bank and all correspondent bank accounts.

Manage the transit general ledger account.

Work with the recon department and the item processing department to clear outstanding items.

Back up wire transfer manager in administrative duties.

Manage branches shipments and orders of cash to insure accurate Federal Reserve account balance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent plus additional training equal to 2 years of college.

Two - three years of previous bank operations or treasury operations required.

Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Personal computer skills, previous experience with Quattro Pro spreadsheets, and databases is preferred.

Comfortable with working in a Windows environment.

Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
