Position Description:

The Regional CDL Driver will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Covanta facilities and the client's sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, walking floors, vacuum trucks, vans, roll-offs and flat beds.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
• Drive commercial vehicles to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
• Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.
• Maintain paperwork including expense reports, timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
• Complete additional assigned duties
• Regional transport of 400mi radius

Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travelin a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience.
• CDL Class A
• Tanker and HazMat endorsement preferred
• Able to stay overnight 3-5 nights a week in a dedicated sleeper
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
• Always abide by standard DOT regulations.

The expected earnings will start at $1500+ weekly for full-time.

This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will take into account a variety of factors including experience, ability and location. Covanta is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps.
